Thank you for reading! It is my contention, based on available evidence, that the LXX did not exist until close to the 2nd century AD. If that is true it would not even serve that purpose. David Daniels has done good work on that issue. Thankfully, we are in complete agreement that modern translations that use the LXX as a source for the OT rather than the MT should be rejected.
